Quinoa (KEEN-wah) is a seed prepared and eaten like a grain. The Inca called it the ‘Mother of all grains’ and considered it sacred. Though trendy now, it’s been eaten for thousands of years in South America.
It’s gluten-free, non-GMO, and counts as a whole grain — high in fiber, iron, folate, magnesium and complete plant protein. This method comes out perfect every time.

Place all the ingredients in an electric rice cooker.
Follow the cooking directions for whole grain. (Stovetop in a pot over low heat works too.)
Fluff with a fork and serve. Cook in broth or coconut milk for a whole new flavor.
